My Story
Utterly Unexpected
"If I can bring hope or beauty, wholeness and value to another person through my life and art,
I’m truly grateful!"

What's been planted in me
My purpose isn’t simply to be an artist. It goes deeper than that. My purpose is to be known by God, fully and intimately. To open my heart to His love, and allow that love to shape me, transform me, and gently form me into His image.
Becoming an artist was never part of my plan—it was an unexpected invitation that changed everything.
What started as a simple step of curiosity became a profound journey of transformation. Through art, I discovered a new way to see, to feel, and to express the depth of life, love, and hope that had been forming all along.
Each painting now carries that journey—capturing not just an image, but a story, a moment, and a deeper sense of connection meant to be experienced and held onto.
If my work resonates with you, it would be an honor to create a piece that holds your story and brings lasting beauty into your home.

But it didn't start there...
There are moments in life when something utterly unexpected shows up and changes everything. For me, becoming an artist was one of those moments. As a wife, mother, and now a grandmother, my family and my faith consumed my life. I spent many years of my life as a musician, author, pastor, crafter, and art hobbyist. I have always said, “I can’t draw.” So, I never thought of myself as an artist (in fact, I was quite terrible at it back in school!). But 2023 was a year of profound change and challenge as I became a full-time live-in caregiver for my mother. During that season, I could not paint, so I thought, maybe I’ll try drawing, it doesn’t take up much space. To my surprise, I discovered: Yes, I can draw! And my soul began to awaken to its beauty, worth and light of hope. Yes, I am an artist!
But I had no idea this was inside me!
And that was the beginning of this journey of art.

Before Art
Before art became my expression,
my life was a journey of constant change and transformation.
My husband, Michael, and I have shared 37 years of marriage, raising three sons along the way across 12 different states throughout the country. Now, they’ve built lives of their own in places scattered across the U.S.
No matter where life has taken us, one thing has remained the same: a deep love for the outdoors, for adventure, and for embracing life fully.
"Love life, adventure and creating. Never stop discovering
beauty, wisdom, and new things planted inside you!"
